For tax purposes, a \u201cdonation\u201d presupposes that there are no commercial benefits in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Monetary donations may allow you to deduct 25% of the amount from your Personal Income Tax, generally up to 15% of the tax due, under the Portuguese Tax Benefits Statute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a0cc79ab4cbc350c7c50f6c04469d1cf\" style=\"color:#203263\">3) Volunteering<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As an athlete or member of the Club, you will take part in the club\u2019s internal life and may support regattas, logistical activities, youth initiatives or specific areas of expertise, such as photography, design, maintenance, transport, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-59067bc3c6f58582fb035aa6e8c0d352\" style=\"color:#203263\">If you are a company<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ad5e88a2143ce0614f38b24dde1d52ac\" style=\"color:#203263\">1) Sponsorship, with visibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideal for companies that want to associate their brand with sport and youth development, with benefits in return, such as brand presence on equipment, at events or in communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-993eb93d41511c8ec09e705b0629dec1\" style=\"color:#203263\">2) Patronage \/ donation, without benefits in return<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">A donation, or patronage, is a form of support especially used by companies when the intention is to contribute to Infante\u2019s activity without commercial benefits in return, that is, without advertising obligations or provision of services. Portuguese Tax Benefits Statute, Article 61.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If an advertising benefit is agreed, for example mandatory brand presence, the support is treated as sponsorship, with the typical treatment of a provision of services and its own tax implications. Portuguese VAT Code, Article 4; and framework for benefits associated with donations: Portuguese Tax Benefits Statute, Article 64.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For registration\/accounting purposes, Infante issues a donation receipt containing the legally required information. When a monetary donation exceeds \u20ac200, it must be made through an identifiable means, such as bank transfer, allowing the support to be associated with the patron.
