On 4 July 1925, on the banks of the Douro, the Clube Naval Infante D. Henrique was founded – a club that would become much more than just a sporting institution. A family was born: a place where athletes are nurtured, but above all, where people are shaped, united by the values of respect, dedication, perseverance and team spirit.
Today we are celebrating our 101st anniversary, another chapter in our history that we mark with the same ambition that has always defined us: to continue to grow, to innovate and to honour the legacy of those who made Infante a leading name in national rowing.
With the start of a new term of office, a renewed Board of Directors takes up its duties, united by the same purpose: to continue to develop the Clube Naval Infante D. Henrique. A dedicated, dynamic team, deeply passionate about the Infante, which reaffirms its commitment to always placing the Club at the heart of every decision, every project and every challenge. Because that is the purpose that drives us every day: to work to ensure that the Infante continues to grow and row, day after day, towards the top.
We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Gondomar Municipal Council and the Union of Parishes of Gondomar (São Cosme), Valbom and Jovim for the support, close cooperation and trust they have shown over the years. The partnership and commitment of these organisations have been fundamental to the Club’s growth. We are confident that we will continue to walk side by side, united by the common goal of promoting sport and upholding the good name of Gondomar.
On this special day, we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has been and continues to be part of this story: athletes, coaches, officials, staff, members, volunteers, sponsors and friends of the Club. Each and every one of you is part of this great "Henriquina" Family.
May we continue to row together, always guided by our Talant de Bien Faire, towards an even stronger future.
