A stable 25 km water stretch, perfect for general, specific and pre-competitive preparation periods for rowing and canoeing athletes, is the key feature of the River Douro area that includes the Gramido Nautical Sports Centre, in Gondomar.
Located 8 km from the Atlantic Ocean and 3 km from the city of Porto, it benefits from a temperate climate throughout the year, due to its proximity to the sea and its geographical position in Europe.
Accommodation
The Training Centre has 42 dormitory beds, in rooms with 6 and 10 bunk-style beds, and one individual apartment, available for visitors to the Training Centre.
For groups, access is provided to the available equipment: gym, rowing tanks and ergometers.

- Common area with a modern, fully equipped kitchen, including fridge, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher.

- 1 apartment, consisting of 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, fully equipped kitchen, complete bathroom and living room.
- Independent but close to the Training Centre rooms, it is suitable for use by members of the technical staff.

Oriel College Boat Club
Available equipment
The Training Centre has a complete set of integrated sports facilities and equipment, including a boat hangar, strength and conditioning gym, ergometer room and rowing tanks. It is also possible to rent motor launches to follow training sessions, as well as boats and oars.
Surrounding area
The surrounding area includes an attractive and restorative riverside walkway of around 6 km, suitable for running, cycling or walking, providing complementary physical activities to rowing and canoeing training.
The Training Centre also enjoys good connections to other municipal sports facilities.
Just five minutes from the nautical centre, athletes staying in Gramido have access to a modern heated indoor 25-metre swimming pool, as well as other sports halls.
Team support
The Training Centre team is available to welcome teams at the airport and transport them to Gramido, in a short 20-minute journey.
The vans are also available to teams for any necessary local transport, whether for training sessions at the swimming pool or other facilities, or for a relaxed afternoon in the city of Porto, just 10 minutes from Gramido.
For teams travelling from further away and unable to bring their own boats, Clube Naval Infante D. Henrique, located in the same building as the Training Centre, has a fleet of high-quality boats and oars that can be included in the training camp package, ensuring that your teams can prepare at the highest level.
